“FUCK! FUCK! FUCK!” Izzy yelled as he slammed the folder down on the desk. “How could I forget to lock up that damn room last night? I’m slipping!” he said with anger. He picked up his cell phone and dialed her number but got no answer. He headed upstairs to throw on a jogging suit and a pair of Jordan’s, grabbed his keys, and headed out the door. He was hoping to catch her before she disappeared on him. He knew she would have to go back to the apartment, so he took his chances on going there first. He raced over to the apartment. He parked in the underground parking garage, then headed for the elevator. He tried calling again and still got no answer. He got off on her floor and headed for the apartment. The door was slightly ajar when he walked up. He looked around before pushing the door open. The apartment had been ransacked. His first thought was that Skai did it out of anger, but he quickly threw that thought out. He knew that Skai didn’t have that type of kick in her. He pulled out his Glock and began frantically searching the apartment. The furniture was cut up, glasses were broken, and the TV was flipped over. He tried calling Skai’s cell phone again, but still got no answer. He thought back to their conversation. He remembered that Skai said that she ran into her brother the day before. He wasn’t sure, but he just knew that he was somehow connected to the vandalism on his property. He wasn’t concerned about the property, he was more concerned about Skai and her well-being. He headed out the apartment, closing the door behind him. He was pissed. When he made it back down to the parking garage, he noticed what he hadn’t notice before. His car that Skai had been using was now there. He looked inside of the vehicle, no one. He turned and headed back toward the elevator. He began banging on the up button. It took forever for the elevator doors to open. He was about to head for the stairs, when the doors finally opened. Before he could take a step, Skai ran off the elevator, running smack dab into him. She looked in his face and it was apparent that she had been crying for a long period of time. Her eyes were red and puffy.

“Izzy, somebody broke into the apartment. I think he is coming for me!” she cried out. He pulled her to him and hugged her before escorting her to his Benz. He helped her in, hopped in on the driver’s side, and pulled out.

“Who is coming for you, baby?” he asked, wanting to confirm his thoughts.

“My brother, I think my brother found out where I live. He tore up the apartment and cut up the couch and things. I know it’s him because the way that he tore up the apartment is exactly how he used to tear up our house when I was a kid.
